Homophones - Fairy v Ferry



Fairy (noun) – an imaginary creature
Ø     Most of the girls at the party last night were dressed as fairies and princesses.
Ø     Carmen used to believe that fairies really existed.

Ferry (noun) – a boat or ship used to carry passengers and sometimes vehicles across an area of water on a regular basis.
Ø     Most of the passengers on the ferry were Europeans.
Ø     We are going to take a ferry to Calais.

Ø     We are going to Calais by ferry.
